The Powerheart G5 defibrillator uses a medical grade battery which is tested rigorously at Cardiac Science and then tested each day it is installed in your Powerheart G5 AED for presence and functionality to ensure readiness. Typically each battery can deliver up to 420 shocks and at least nine shocks after the defibrillator indicates the battery is low.

Important note: If your Cardiac Science G5 defibrillator is beeping and the rescue ready symbol is RED ensure that you have also checked the expiry date of your defibrillator electrode pads. Electrodes that have expired will cause the device to beep and show a RED rescue ready symbol. To check your current battery level of your existing battery, open the lid of the defibrillator and view the battery meter. You will see 4 green LED’s and each green LED that lights up means that you have 25% battery life.
