Brayden Baby Manikin With White Illumination Lights

The Brayden Baby Advanced is the first infant CPR manikin that provides real-time visual feedback using three sets of interrelated LED lights that illuminate in direct relation to the depth and rate of compressions that clearly illustrates the overall the quality of CPR being performed.

The Brayden Baby Advanced CPR manikin has been developed in conjunction with leading members of the European Resuscitation Community in pre-hospital, hospital, university and voluntary sectors.

CPR for an infant differs from CPR performed on an older child or adult. Due to a small mouth and airway, a small body with a relatively large tongue and occiput, delicate lungs and more fragile but flexible ribs compared to an adult, resuscitating an infant requires more nuanced CPR skills. 

Brayden Baby can also be used for Newborn Life Support (NLS) programs as well as Paediatric BLS.

Blood Circulation Indicating Lights
These illuminate to represent the flow of the blood from the heart to the brain. The speed of the blood flow shown varies according to the depth and speed of the compressions. These will only fully light once the rate of compressions is over 100 per minute.

Chest Compression Indicating Lights 
These illuminate to represent the volume of blood being circulated by the chest compressions. This volume depends on the depth of compressions. These will only fully light when the depth of compressions is over 5cm.

CPR Quality Indicating Light
This illuminates to represent that blood is reaching the brain. This will only fully light when the depth and speed of compressions are correct.

Realistic occlusion of the airway for an infant when the head is hyper-extended.

Jaw mechanism mimics the action of a real baby for an accurate jaw thrust/lift manoeuvre.

Allows correct compression to 1/3 of the depth (Anterior, Posterior distance) of manikin (4 cm)

Made with non-toxic materials which are soft and smooth to represent infant skin.

Realistic, large Occiput (back of the head) so the baby lies with its head in the correct and realistic position (in flexion)
